The most common data storage format is the data crystal. The data crystal utilizes a holographic-based three dimensional system of data storage capable of holding high-end video, text, hologram, and other binary file systems. Each crystal is approximately 2 to 3 inches in length. At one end is a metallic connector designed to allow the crystal's matrix to interact with a universal data crystal link. The metallic connector is etched with the date and microscopic identity patterns. Such data can be removed through careful use of a laser cutter and can make the crystal untraceable. Data crystals range in color from clear to a smoky quartz color
