It's that time again

Tomorrow I leave to swim at the South Texas Championships, commonly called STAGS for short. I swim the following events:

100 free
200 free
500 free
1650 free
100 back
200 back

Being the fanatic that I am, I went to great lengths to give myself lots of nicks and scratches with my razorblade, insuring that I am practically hairless.

South Texas Age Group Swimming is really the name of the swim meet. And as far as the 1650 free goes...I'm only like a minute off of Sectionals.

I'm guessing butterfly for the 100 free.

I'm not sure why you would swim fly for free.

Generally, Freestyle refers to the American Crawl which is much faster.

Do you think so? I was taught it was the other way around - you have to 100% master butterfly though.

Any stroke is legal in Freestyle, but it's generally agreed that the Crawl is by far the fastest -- and therefore most commonly used stroke. I'm certainly not gonna go with a slower stroke at a championship swim meet(or ever).

As far as my swim meet goes...I had a great meet! Here are my events, seed times(best time prior to this meet) and actual times, respectively:

1650 freestyle -- 18:27.66 -- 18:35.09
100 backstroke -- 1:02.84 -- 1:02.28
200 backstroke -- 2:19.24 -- 2:15.35
100 freestyle -- 54.38 -- 55.10
500 freestyle -- 5:12.73 -- 5:15.98(with a 1:58 at the 200)
200 freestyle -- 1:57.57 -- 1:56.86

Nobody else from my family goes as fast as I do!...well, except in the breaststroke where some oddball in the family was actually good at it. I'll give you a hint: His name starts with G and ends with igafrost.
