what do you use to make screenshots?

Unless you installed Fedora or another distro of Linux whose default xwindows environment has a ton of stuff, I'm not sure how to do screenshots in Linux, but in Windows, I usually make them with Adobe Photoshop. Just do a Print Screen and then paste into Photoshop.

Thinking about it, however, I should probably be using Microsoft Paint. In Windows XP, it supports saving stuff to gif / jpeg and it consumes a ton less memory than Photoshop does.

That said, what do you use?

Print Screen, and then paste it into Irfanview. If the computer doesn't have Irfanview on it, I just past it into MS Paint. :)

Usually print screen and paste into MS paint for quick low-quality-low-size images. Any that I want detail in or some other reason I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0.

And talking about screenshots (pasted, merged and saved in MS paint) -

Note: Quality of pics doesn't necessarily reflect the true quality of the product. Also the software is still in early development stages and therefore what you see is what you mostly get.

Print Screen, then bring into Photoshop. I pretty much always have Photoshop open for some reason or another.
