I've started playing this game again, after I saw Primus playing it again.

For those unaware, this is a game where you play the role of a god as you watch over the villages of your worshippers, and you try to get as many worshippers as possible, competing against other gods.

I'm not that far in yet, having only recently gotten a creature. I'm still on the first island, and I'm wondering whether I should keep my cow for a creature, or trade it for a sheep.

Or maybe, I should've gotten an ape in the first place and taken advantage of those maps Primus downloaded to teach my creature everything, and then trade for a combat creature.

Yeah, so Primus downloaded some maps that are used for training your creature. One map consists only of miracle dispensers(one of each kind) with no villages around, and there are some other maps that help alot.

So what I'm considering is getting the intelligent Ape and training it in these maps, and then going back to the single-player game and trading the Ape for a good battling creature.

I believe they were at http://www.bwcenter.com/ . Go to the maps section and you should find some maps there. And you might be able to access them when you select a skirmish game.

EDIT: Rats, I'm having a lot of trouble. I've been trying to teach my creature to use the water miracle on the smaller trees, but he just uses the miracle on the same trees over and over. It's getting to be a bother. :pissed:

I've decided to let off on my creature training a little...I'll still teach him stuff, but I believe I can mostly handle the villagers on my own. However, I'll still need to take care of getting my creature to grow.

Oh man...I wonder how long it will be before my creature is big enough to impress that hermit...

What happened last time I tried to impress the hermit...

Hermit: As I see it, there's no need to bow down before you! And until I see a big enough creature, you don't mean nothing to me!

Megafrost: *shows the hermit his creature*

Hermit: You think that will impress me? That thing's too small!

Creature: *eats the hermit*

Oh man...that better not happen next time.

 Seriously?!?

But I figured out part of my problem. I looked at some of the statistics and I found that my creature didn't seem to be growing at all unless I was in a skirmish game, so I've started growing my creature in skirmish games, focusing more on taking care of the townsfolk I currently have instead of converting other villages simply because I'm trying to be good and have my creature grow.

And after having seen chapter 2 a bit, I find it pretty difficult to take care of my townspeople without a food miracle! I've been making a disciple farmer and been having to use the water miracle to help grow the farms in order to do anything, though random wandering animals also help alot.

Oh, and for some reason, my strategy seems to involve doing a lot of stuff myself and not putting too much attention into my creature, therefore I started over again and decided to choose a creature that would lean towards good even if I wasn't helping it do that.

Dracofrost wants to see an evil temple, so I've created an evil game, and gotten the temple as evil as I possibly can at this moment.
