Here are screen shots of the stats for my main and my pure.

My main is in the bank, flanked by PKers ... good thing they can't kill me at the bank!

I wonder if my pure is still considered pure since I lost my conenction and then lagged and accidentally killed a goblin before I could change the power setting and wound up advancing to level 2 defense!

Nyufrost, you can still be considered a pure. Some people might advance their pures to level 10 defense so they can wear full black, and still consider themselves pure. One level in defense shouldn't make too big a difference.

well, many ppl explain pures on another way, and i know 2 of them

1) low defence, high att and higher str, no magic and/or prayer.
2) more hits than combat lvl.

i'd like to go with option 2 since im training to be prayer beast and i still have more hits than combat. and defence of 2 doesnt make sence, cuz there are ppl that like to go with 5 def (steel) or 10 def (black) or even 20 for mithril, 30 for adamantite or 40 for rune (but they wont wear rune plate since you need magic lvls for that and they wont train magic)

It's really annoying when that happens, isn't it?

Try fighting some high-level creature you know you can't kill quickly, and use that to set your combat style. Maybe it will help.
