windows xp folders

Postby TerraFrost » Sat Feb 26, 2005 9:00 pm

in the windows xp start bar, programs sorta consolidate if you have enough different programs open. for example, what would have normally appeared as 10 sep. firefox buttons will appear as one firefox button that will show a menu when it's clicked on. normally, the icons should be the same, however... in the following screenshot, they're not.

i imagine tweakui might be able to fix it, but i don't care enough about the problem to try that, heh

Worst. Example. Ever.

What kind of person would have that many Firefox windows open, that's what tabs are for. :p

Anyway, looks like some Win9X icons got into the mix. Very strange indeed.

I hate that option and always disable it. Nuxius has a point too :D

You're funny. :p

Anyway, what did you do to do that? Delete a font on accident? Mess with Windows font DPI setting?

No clue. Both of those windows were on the same machine.

The only thing I can figure is this. Maybe I opened a command prompt via the "Open Command Window Here" powertoy for Windows XP. In this command prompt, I would have typed in 'command', in an attempt to test something involving ANSI control codes per this article.

Maybe the "legacy mode" I was one somehow found it's way back to the window that initiated it (assuming it was the same window).

I didn't experience any further problems after closing that window, either.
