Look at Rapscallion's quote of his message and you will see what it said.

Heh, that very last chop would be a cool party trick. The rest...eh... it's exageration, set up, and preparation. Yeah, you gotta condition yourself pretty well, but breaking wooden boards and concrete seems harder than it actually is. Especially when you have lots of thin boards stacked together. What'd be more impressive to me, personally, would be to see what thickness of a continuous hard substance (either wood or concrete) that they could break.

I don't consider this to be negative at all. Just because I can't do it doesn't mean I don't think I'd ever be able to do it if I set my mind to it. I think people can do just about anything if they set their mind to it. I just don't, personally, think these feats are worth that much dedication, hence why I don't do them.

In fact, I consider this thread to kinda be a celebration of what the human body is, in theory, capable of.

Further, the title of this thread is intended as a bit of self-deprecating humor. Yes, I, at present, cannot do these things, and no, that does not bother me in the slightest.

As for what I can do... well, that's an open question and will probably remain so for the rest of my life. If, when I'm 60, I become the oldest person to walk on the moon, or something, who's to say, then, that that is the greatest accomplishment I'll ever achieve? The fact that it probably is doesn't mean that it, definitively, is. You'll only know that at the end.

Okay, point taken. I just find it strange that you keep updating this thread with more stuff you can't do. But, if that's how you pay homage to the human body, go ahead. I'll just watch silently from now on. :)

I don't think anyone here can do this. Or this. At the very least I can't. Though I would love to learn how. That would be really fun, and if you learn how to do it right, without hurting yourself... well, you'd probably be safer in a few normally hazardous situations. Including escaping from muggers, heh. Or just having fun with urban exploration type things...

I think parkour would be fun to do, as well, but it'd take a lot to get me to actually practice it outside (where it really needs to be practiced, I think). When watching videos of people doing it, I think (1) that it looks fun and (2) these people seem to have very little respect for property, in general. They're parading around as if the world is their playground. Well, it isn't.

Or maybe my objection to it is that by doing it publically, you're throwing humility out the window and are kinda becoming an attention-seeking whore.

Ya know.. I'm not actually sure what about parkour bugs me. Maybe I'm just jealous that these people don't have the same inhibitions I do and maybe I don't realize I'm jealous. Who knows. Either way, although it looks fun and although I think that's something I might be fairly decent at, right now, it's not something you'll ever see me trying.

And as for my thinking I'd be fairly decent at it... don't read too much into that. There's no correlation between self-perceived ability and real ability.
