Mysterious girl playing with my heart

Long ago, I wrote this around 10 years ago for a girl I was in love with (or at least I thought I was!, youth makes you feel things much strongly!). After one month of an ideal relationship, most of the time reading Tolkien, listening to U2 or sleeping in the tower of a castle under the starfull bavarian summer sky, one day she stopped suddenly seeing me. I was so confused, and I wrote this:

Precious dark stones, her lovely brown eyes,
Amazing beauty in all of her lines
Obscure misteries that cover her mind
Leaving my heart broke and painfully blind
Attempting to believe someone's ancient lie.

Well... there is an enigma associated... And the enigma is not the end of the story, as everyone should know after CC's proclamation that I am single. The enigma is... What was the name of the girl? If you know it, reply in the Contest cooler!

Ninja used his Ninja powers to spy me and decipher this poem is an acrostic, meaning that the first letter of each line make a word... PAOLA!

She was italian. She was a little older than me and when I met her she said that she did not believe in love because she have had bad experiences. But still we had great times hanging around together.
One day she decided she was falling in love with me, although we both knew we would have to depart after summer, her to Italy, me to Spain. And she thought that was dangerous.
So she didn't want to face me to tell me that... she both felt to proud to confess she was feeling love, and too weak to be able to say it to my face and keep her decision...
So I was very confused but Kept on stalking her with poems and other things until one day I got her to the tower of the castle at night... there she could not escape and she told me her secret...
After that, as she had foreseen she was not able to keep her determination, so we came back together...
Unfortunately time was inexorable and at the end of the summer, we said goodbye... for many years we kept on exchanging long letters (at that time there were no e-mail LOL!) and now she is nothing but a very nice memory

I am glad you like them. It's a pity you cannot hear declamated, as I believe part of its best it's its rythm.... maybe if you try to say it aloud, pausing after:
stones, beauty, misteries, broke, believe
sounds better!

This thread has been dead for over 5 years and most posters in here have long since left. Posting "yea!so so!", a bunch of smilies and a quote is not a good reason to revive it.
