If your using paint, copy and paste them onto a page, then open up another page in paint to make the comic on. Make the comic and when you need to put the sprites in, go to their page and do the square select thing. Then, on the comic page, select the veiw option and then uncheck "draw opaque". Then paste them onto the comic. If parts of them are transparant, clear them from the page. Then, flood paint the background of the sprite page a different color, right click that color on the comic page, then copy and paste.

That sounds like technobabble, but it will work.

If you're interested, I sort of started working on a Tutorial quite some time ago for Paint Shop Pro 6...
http://www.kraftfam.org/~erk/comic/tuto ... torial.htm

But really, that information is out of date and rather lengthy. Basically, you just need to...

1. Use Image to put a box around the sprite you want.

2. Use Image and Image to "modify the box" so that the box selects only the sprite and not the background. The Image tool isn't necessary, but it is helpful when you know how to use it.

What do I mean by "modify the box?" I mean that you change the shape of the box so that it only selects what you want to select.

How do you modify the box using the selection tool? If you hold CTRL and then use the tool, instead of making a new box, it'll cut part of the old box off! So all you need to do is to keep cutting off the parts of the box you don't want until all that's left is the part you want!

Just for your information...if you hold down SHIFT and then use a tool, you will ADD to the box. Sometimes this is helpful...

The Image tool selects an entire area that is the same color. It also works with CTRL and SHIFT.

I hope I helped and didn't confuse you more...

Oh...I forgot about that...hehehe

Simply go to the EDIT drop-down menu and select COPY. Then, select the picture with the background and go to EDIT>PASTE>AS NEW SELECTION.

Nope. All my materials are at home, and I'm stuck at school for the day. When I get home tonight I'll be too short on time to take care of that... :(

It would be great if you posted the background for Light's lab, Giga. As I could use it too.

My experience has been that it's a complete waste of time for sprites when you're trying to be very exact, which good spriting is. The only way I could see him needing that would be to take a complex picture out of a complex background...which is what I use it for...
