Awww, I'm so happy I stopped by.

That's great, best of wishes to you and "Black"!

It sounds like everything is going well, I hope you continue to find happiness wherever your path may lead.

You don't ever have to worry about me - I don't think I'll ever get married :)

Not that I have anything against marriage - I just don't see it happening.

Kinda like me going to Japan, actually. I don't have anything against Japan - I just don't see it happening.

There's a big difference between marriage and Japan....

For one thing marriage is over-rated while Japan isn't. :lila

We sure are, but I seriously doubt that I'll put any online.

Yep, finally back from Japan. I was there for about 4 weeks! The first weekend, we went to Minakami to stay at a hot springs resort. Second weekend, we were going around a nearby town exploring a local festival. Third weekend we explored Tokyo and ended up going to DisneyLand, and the last weekend I spent at Black's grandmother's house.

It was a loooong trip, and while it was fun, I'm glad to be home. Some things I brought home with me:

A playstation 2
A gamecube
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 final mix versions
Pokemon Sapphire
Pokemon Pearl
Pokemon Box (for the Gamecube)
A bowl with strawberry patterns on it
Various souvenirs for the family including coffee cups, chopsticks, and pokemon figurines
Japanese sweets

It was quite a fun trip! A little long though, I started getting homesick after two weeks.

Chat, you were asking about photos? Here's one that I bought while we were in Tokyo DisneyLand.

That's me in front, Black in the green shirt above. I've never liked the way my photos look when I'm trying to look all nice and proper, so most of the photos on the trip have me with very silly looks.

Didn't even know that Tokyo had a Disneyland, heh. I assume that's your first Disneyland? There's one that's supposed to be close to Paris, but alas, I didn't have enough time to do that, heh.

Yup, that's my first DisneyLand.

I don't think it's too surprising that one popped up in Tokyo. Disney is very popular in Japan. Probably more so than Pokémon. Black's parents knew who Mickey Mouse was, but not Pikachu.

Heh - interesting.

Would you say that that was the most surprising thing you learned, while there?

No, I was well aware of Disney's popularity before I went. The most surprising thing I learned was a bit of Black's family history. Her family used to be the "main line" (meaning most powerful) of her family name, but after their banking business went down in the Great Depression, they became a side branch. Black is the last one in that branch, and unless she keeps the family name and moves the graveyard to Texas, that branch dies out.

Move the graveyard to Texas? Like just create a new family cemetery or actually move the tombstones over? Do people actually do that? Move tombstones and stuff?
