Rock Band is nice because it actually tests your pitch when you sing. Guitar Hero (or "Guitar Queero" as Matt Stone and Trey Parker call it) does suck. The songs they pick, the method of playing the game, the ever-growing popularity, and the damn egos people get when they beat it all get on my nerves. And I'm sure it will have a bass mode....

biggest challenge that has been pointed out is that many popular rock songs aren't done on the start tuning for guitars... meaning that someone who may not necessarily know what they are doing will be asked to retune strings. Of course, since it already plugged into the computer, having the right ear and knowing exactly how may not be so much a problem.

Still. If this comes out soon, and I get an electric... something I look forward to!

I think when this comes out it might prompt me to get an electric of my own to go with my bass. Probably a used B.C. Rich, something drenched in 'metal' and 'awesome'. Like this:

haven't really thought about it. My old teacher had a jazz guitar, one of those acoustic/electrics -- i've thought of maybe getting one of those. I reckon once I develop my skills on the acoustic, I'll go play around in the guitar shop, see what I like.

B.C. Rich..... some moron actually brought that to a church to play "Carol of the Bells" for a Christmas mass. I was scoffing at him during the end. IT was like, "Ohhh, real tough guy. You're playing one of the most gnarled up, beastly guitars ever made at a church!" :lol

Anyway, rk, Guitar Center usually has a slop load of guitars whether they be acoustic or electric.
