...yeah, that's about how I feel right now.

So, I guess some of you might know I have heart issues... well, have had heart issues for about...10 years now.

Well. I'm going to the doctor like all the time about it, doing tests and all... well. Yeah.

They couldn't figure out what was wrong that way so today the finally ordered me a "travel" moniter.

Basically a bunch of sticky little things stay hooked to my chest all day. The sticky things are hooked to wires, the wires to a little moniter that kind of resembles a beeper.

...So. It's uncomfortable and hidious.

But on top of that... basically how the thing works is... You have to click this button and stand still for 30 seconds any time you feel any symptoms...

...well. It only holds like 7 charges... after that you have to find a home phone [not a cell/wireless phone of any kind]... and sit there for like 5-15 minutes sending what sounds like a fax to a cardiologist center.

...Meh. So ends the annoyed rwar part of this rant...

...Anyway. But... apparently I have to wear it for 30 days and it's already helping.

Some doctor called me up today worrying because my heart was so fast. Damn **** didn't believe me earlier because she couldn't find anything at the office.

xDD....ANYWAY.

: Shutsup and goes to bed :

I gets ta have 5 vials of blood drawn tommorow. Joooy.

Is it a really big eye-sore or is it fairly hard to notice?

Either way, that stinks :(

Well... you can see one of the moniters which basically looks like a huge white sticker with a cord coming out of it..annd.. some wires around the moniter it's self... depends on how you conceal it, I suppose.

Uhh. I'm gettin' used to it though.

I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. On the other hand, at least there's hope. Here's hoping they manage to find a way to at least make the problem more controllable.

Thats brilliant.

Not that you have heart problems, that sucks, but being able to find out whats wrong by sending you away with a travel monitor is amazing.

Thats pure genius.

Sorry, I'm just really intrigued by the methods used to discover the causes of certain problems. Amazing. :)

good luck on the heart thing though, I'm sure if they're looking taht deeply into it, you'll have a solution soon. :)

Damn that really sucks. I hope the 30 days go by quickly, and that it really helps the doctors fix whatever is wrong. Beep.

Haha, Amiga. I think it's pretty interesting too...

Well. Just got done with yet another stress test... They still don't know what's wrong but are leaning toward a few guesses... Oh well.

I'm apparently going to Daytona FL for a week sometime before Fathers Day... it'll be fun trying to manage how to go about swimming with this thing...

xD

meow ---- hope this figures things out -- i'm happy that you are taking steps, however strange they may be, to get things taken care of. One of my friends has heart problems of her own, also ambiguous and mysterious, but is too busy to schedule time with a doctor frequently, but the times she does go... nothing gets resolved and all tehy want is more appointments.

But hey, first cyborg on the forum! :)

I had no clue this was happening, either. My fault for not reading as much as I should.

I do hope they get some really good information and find that the cause is curable and you don't have to deal with this any more. It sounds quite unpleasant.
