Well, for those of us who live in the Austin area, I think Ike is missing us entirely. We might get maybe an inch of rain if we're lucky.

Well, I'm fortunately in Mississippi instead of Texas now, though I'm not sure how affected San Antonio is by Ike. Guess I'll have to ask the next batch of Basic Training Graduates when they get here for Tech School. Still pretty windy here, but not really that bad. Kindof fun, actually.

Sounds like what I have to put up with, with all the interesting weather missing me all the time.

It's been pretty stormy here too the same time during hurricane Gustav, coincedently of course. Although we missed all the best bits, as usual.

Aren't you curious to know how Arizona is affected by hurricane Ike? :p But actually, a few weeks ago, we had a crazy storm that knocked over trees, blew rain all over the place, blew my window open in my room, flooded the balcony, and blew away this inflatable dome that the football team and marching band used to practice in. I heard it cost about $8 million. Apparently, Michael Crow was out of line with God :lol

The day before Ike, K-12 schools closed early. News websites were saying stuff like "90% chance of torrential downpours and tropical storm force winds", but the next day... nothing. It did sprinkle ever so lightly, though, for all of like 1 minute!
