What's a good way to get farming up?

plz help me on this. ive been trying to get it up fast but it took me around 1-2 hours just to get from 1 to 11 farming....and its really annoying me. can sumone help?
A while ago, I learned that one of my ancestors once killed another man with a shovel. That either means I have strong genes, or that i have inherited the tendency to drink to much.......

The best advice I can give you is to move between each plot, using the highest level seeds in each.
I'm not a really good source of advice though. My farming is my lowest skill at 35.
