The Hobbit assigned for school....

Postby SuicidalButterfly » Fri Apr 02, 2004 7:38 pm

When I first learned we would have to read The Hobbit for school I was about to DIE because I remember attempting to do so in the sixth grade and passing out of boredom. (well not literally)
I picked up and started reading it during spring break (there's no way I was going to be able to keep up otherwise!) and I couldn't put it down. Of course there came times when I had to...didn't read for like 3 days. meh. Anywho I'm almost done with it and it's like one of the most awesomest books ever! I dunno but I have this strange yearning for a cloak.... O.o

Welcome to the world of Tolkien admirers... I read it long ago a few times (more than 20 years ago), and I have been amazed for 20 years of keep on remembering things from the book. Actually, I am reading it right now again. The reason is that my French friend, tired of giving me books I never read, gave me the Hobbit in French. She said: Now I am sure you will read in French... and damn! She was right! :p

the Hobbit... One of my all time favorite books, however whenever I read the first few chapters I get strong cravings for tea and cakes...

I loved the Hobbit. My dad used to read it to me when I was four years old. I remember that I would always look forward to time of the day. It was also one of the first books I read. It remains a favorite of mine still today.

I agree with Omega...I kept wanting seed-cakes...I don't even know what that is....I do not, however, wish to eat cram.
