The Halfling Beren/Thingol

Postby Tar-Herunole » Fri Feb 13, 2004 12:43 am

Just started to read the hobbit, and read things I had forgotten, such as this: It was said that one of the first tooks was married to a fay! And everafter the Took were talller and braver than the other hobbits! One of the ancestor killed a king of goblins by cutting his head and making it fly 100 meters before flying, effectively ending the battle and inventing the game of golf at the same time!
The one they refer as fay (well I am not sure as for a strange circumstance of life I am readingit in French) could be indeed a Maiar, but also an elf... Maybe the took were some kind of Numenoreans among the hobbits!

I think it would be a maiar. I dont think and elf would do that. But are you sure they it says that they have it? I though I remember it saying that it was rumored that they do. Hobbits tend to say things that make them important like that.

Rumored indeed, but sounds plausible.
