Favorite moment of the trilogy

What is your favorite moment of The Return of the King (the movie)? What about the whole Trilogy?

I am not sure. I was just thinking that the moment when Haldir dies, although it's not in the book it is so great!

I'd have to agree. I thought Haldir was a typical elf. A little pompous and self-richous, but strong and wise. The moment he arrives at Helms Deep and is greeted by Aragorn touched me. (and also his death as you say)

I'd have to say also the scenes of Sauron in the intro of the first movie were pretty cool. Although we never see him again with Physical form, this one scene helps to set the tone of what they're up against throughout the rest of the trilogy.

From a purly special effects point of view, all though there were hundreds of cool shots, I thought the way the Witch King dies was pretty cool.

Yes, I also think when they arrive to Hornburg is touchy, but it alls mount up to the ecstasys of the death I guess.
Also the charge of the Rohirrim in both battles is great, specially in TRTK.... How the orcs, loose their confidence and start to run, and how they charge, and the consigns they shout!

I don't like so much the appeareance of Sauron or the Witch King, because I think their horror cannot be correctly expressed with images, so anything they could do would just make it less terrifying. I think Weathertop was the best in that sense, because you could see their majesty and also their spirits...
