Yah that complete guide is really good. I also have a Beistary (that is a guide for floral and fauna) which is really comprehensive. I have the Silmarillion, the Unfinished Tales, and The Atlas of Middle Earth and others. All the above mentioned books are really great.

My Dean from my high school, his wifes name is Arwen. Her father was a consultant on publishing of the 2 nd editon silmarillion and he was one of the photographers of the movies. That is so awesome. I met here a week ago and she almost knew as much as I do. But it was mostly about LotR, i told her that I am not that interested in the third, i am only interested on what the Istari did during the third age. I told her i am not as learned in the the third age. I told her i study the beginning of days all the way up to the end of the secoond age. That sparked a hour and a half convo on the basic overview up to the third age. and it got me off school!

Wow!!! *Is jelious* I also find the third age to be kinda boring compared to the first age. I study mainly just the first age.

the other guide i have is called "The Tolkien Companion" by J.E.A. Tyler... it's very comprehensive for what it does cover... LotR, The Hobbit, The Road Goes Ever On, and The Adventures of Tom Bombadil...
unfortunatly, it doesn't cover The Silmarilion... of course, that said, it's about as long as the complete guide without covering the silmarilion, heh.

Tom bombadil was really good. So was the Road goes on ever. I wish Tom bombadils would have good into more about what he did for middle earth rather than himself. But they were both good.

Learning about Tom Bombadil was once a hobby of mine (he used to be my favorite character). Now I prefer the first age. I should read that book though...

Well other than his adevntures, there is really naught much to study about him, and the first age is too short to put all your time on. but hey! it is your time :)
