ungoliant

i think ungoliant should have just captured feanor, and enslaved him, for her! feanor could make all the jewels she wanted, and some mighty tasty ones, too! perhapes ungoliant could forgoe eating the silmarils in lieau of having a renewable source of tasty food!

no wonder spider's are so stupid, hehe. :)

There was no way Ungoliant could keep Feanor, for Feanor was to powerful and would have escaped.

hmm... that's a good point... ungoliant could have probably very easily killed feanor, just as she did a great deal of damage to melkor, but... to enslave feanor? that would have taken a lot more effort - a lot more effort than even melkor, himself, probably had.

of course, in melkor's case, melkor may have been made sorta artificially vulnerable, when he surrounded himself in ungoliants unlight...
