What's wrong with the host again? DF and FJ are loading up about 8 - 10 times slower then normal. It's taken me a good 5 minutes just to post this.

bah. today's been terribly slow (the server, i mean). i suppose activity on the boards been rather slow, too, but i partially attribute that to our host's slowness.

as for our server's slowness... there's not much that can be done for that, short of perhapes getting a new host. although getting a new host would cost us money, and i don't think we've gotten quite that bad yet, heh.

on a semi related note, i sometimes wonder if my graemlin creator might be contributing to the overall slowness, but... when i look at phpbb's source code, my fears are put to rest, heh.

well... the slowness problems should now be resolved. incidently, the slowness problems are the reason for the recent downtime, too. to quote an email from our host...

the mysql db usage is maxing the cpu - the
suspension is temporary to allow us to relocate the site to the new server where this will not be a problem.
